There are income limits for Rural housing loans. For the state of Michigan they are generally $92,600.00 for a 1 to 4 person family. You can get a USDA loan with credit scores as low as 600.

There are three different types of USDA Rural Housing loans:
1) Loan Guarantees – This allows you to get w low interest rate with little to no money down.
2) Direct Loans – For low and very low income applicants, there may be an insurance premium if you put little to zero down however.
3) Home Improvement loans and grants – These packages often combine both a loan and a grant and awards people who need to fix or repair their houses.
